Recently, Zhongtian Technology Submarine Cable Co.,Ltd., [ZTT Submarine] and Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology Co., Ltd.[ZTT] jointly developed the “Rated-voltage 220kV cross linked polyethylene(XLPE) insulated smooth aluminum sheathed power cable system” was successfully approved in the the appraisal, considering that the technical performance had hit internationally leading level, greatly reinvigorating the development of the industry.

ZTT Submarine adopted independently innovated smooth aluminum sheath equipment manufacturing technology, smooth aluminum sheathed structure design technology, large-diameter smooth aluminum sheathed diameter reduction technology to reduce the outer diameter of product and enhance the current carrying capacity, and implemented the three-layer & co-extrusion technology to improve the bending resistance performance of smooth aluminum sheath.

The successful development of 220kV smooth aluminum sheathed power cable system intensively embodies the hardship and wisdom of all the R&D workers of ZTT Submarine, and the R&D team implemented a number of tests and studies on special performance of smooth aluminum sheathed cable, laying a theoretical and practical foundation for structural design, installation and laying, and long-term operation of smooth aluminum sheathed high-voltage cable.
