The subject“863 plan- armored cable for submarine ROV & deep-tow technology which is undertaking by ZTT was hold in Qingdao. As totally achieving proprietary intellectual property rights in the the special watertight material, armored layer torque and balance design, armored steel wire, pre-stretching device and process design, multiple-stiffness testing equipment, this project has been agreed to pass by the expert group.

To fill the domestic void and break the monopoly, ZTT undertook The subject“863 plan- armored cable for submarine ROV & deep-tow technology since 2011. The developed ROV mental armored cable has been used in 10 practical submerging tests with 1522 m- maximum depth. The results of longitudinal sealing and torsional performance are both superior to the imported congeneric products. And now ZTT has successfully developed first national ROV & deep-tow mental armored cable and non-mental armored cable.

The developed armored cable has not only supplied to the domestic market, but also exported to some countries like Malaysia. This success in developing the armored cables in deep sea has replaced imported products and laid the good foundation of proprietary technology and product support for national submarine equipment and technology.
